Democracy Depends on Information

Democracy depends on people’s access to information. What is the state of our information environment?

In this track we will consider what it means to get – and avoid – information. Focusing on people’s access to news, the track will consider research on how people get information, the implications of growing news avoidance around the globe and what it means to inform people through constantly-changing media platforms.
